SPARKLING WINES

KOMIŠKA BONDA, Premium sparkling wine, 12% alc 20 €Refreshing sparkling wine, with fruity aromas of apricot and pear and harmonious taste. Intense with a pleasant long-lasting bubbles, playful acids on the palate, delicate fruit flavors and a discreet finish of roasted nuts. Kuč (Trebbiano) was chosen as the base variety, which produces fresh, lighter wines with pronounced freshness, which is the ideal base for sparkling wines. In addition to Kuč as the main variety, Vugava was added to the base wine.

Fruity, red berry fruit with a hint of Mediterranean herbs. Taste is harmonious with a pleasant long-lasting pearling and playful acids on the palate bringing delicate fruit flavors with a Mediterranean twist. The base wine for the rosé sparkling wine is produced from Kuč as the main variety and Plavac mali from Voščice field, which is characteristic for producing lighter Plavac with more pronounced freshness.
WHITE WINES
- VISLANDER BUGAVA, Appellation Dračevo polje, 2022, 14.5% alc 11 €
A golden-yellow colour with a golden sheen. A very complex aroma characteristic for Vugava, fruity aromas of stone fruits such as peach and ripe apricot, flow into a slightly smokey herbal note of Mediterranean plants and thyme. It has a medium strength, well-rounded body with a balanced alcohol content that follows the structure of the wine with a soft and elegant freshness which is the result of the carefully selected time of harvest, and retains the fresher tone of the variety. In the mouth it is elegant and seductive with discreet notes of flower honey, persuasive and steadfast.

VISLANDER BUGAVA PREMIER, Appellation Dračevo polje, 2022, 13.5% alc 15 €The most prestigious interpretation of selected grapes of Vugava in Vislander cellar. Harmonious and fresh, the wine has a pronounced varietal aroma. The smell of mint and Mediterranean herbs, pleasant acids, fruity aromas of yellow pears, apricots and tropical fruits with a balanced and long finish.

Vugava (Bugava) variety made in a more traditional way. Harmonious, full bodied, fruity wine with pronounced aromas of apricot and tropical fruit with discreet notes of roasted nuts and salinity in the aftertaste. More structured and layered, with beautiful progression on the palate.

- VISLANDER PLAVAC MALI, Appellation Voščice, 2018, 13% alc 18 €
Gentle ruby colors. Lively fruity nose is dominated by cherry and pomegranate, forest fruits with notes of dry leaves. Taste is medium-bodied, refreshingly vibrant with a slightly tannic finish. Intense aromas of ripe blackberries, figs and thyme, with integrated smoky note

Medium deep intense ruby color. An amazing combination of refined delicate aromas of forest fruits and herbs on the nose, with a slight smell of leather and smoke obtained from aging in wooden barrels. Also leaves and maquis with a note of cherry and fennel. A lively, delicious taste with a seductive, slightly nutty finish makes it an ideal starter red wine.

Dark ruby color with a purple sheen. It has a complex aroma with the recognizable fruity notes of the Plavac mali with its characteristic black currant and dry plum notes, as well as the herbal notes of Mediterranean plants that make it exceptionally seductive. Its powerful structure carries tannins with ease and leaves a harmonious taste of warm sand of Vis vineyards and the noble variety of Plavac mali in the mouth. A wine whose true potential we will be achieved in the following years.

Wine with a strong structure and expressed tannins. Dark ruby color with a purple-brown sheen. A recognizable fruity aroma with notes of black currant and dry plum, as well as the herbal notes of Mediterranean plants. Its powerful structure carries its high sugar content and tannins with ease and leaves a harmonious taste of the warm sand of Vis vineyards and the noble variety of Plavac mali, with a slightly smoky note.

Vislander Plavac is designed to be more approachable in its youth, with a softer structure. Still, it is a full-blooded Plavac with aromatic typicity of the variety with dark fruit and herbal undertones, but in a lighter body.

VISLANDER GRAPPA BARRIQUE, 0.5l, 40%alc 14 €How come grandpa Jure has never been to the doctor? Some say it's because he began every meal with a finger of grappa (rakija)! The finger is the traditional Croatian measurement for it. The Vislander grappa (rakija) is made from the grapes of plavac mali, grown in the sandy Vis soil. It's the product of the mighty sun and classic Mediterranean distillation technology. Wine grappa is a drink to be enjoyed, that cures the body and soul!

VISLANDER HERB GRAPPA, 0.5l, 40% alc 12 €Of the countless aromatic Dalmatian herbs growing in the Vis air and salty rock, 9 of them (sage, heather, fennel, common rue, white wormwood, carob...) can be found in the Vislander herb grappa. This drink, made from the finest grapes and herbs, was prescribed by pharmacists since the old ages to cure bad digestion, colds, muscle pain and toothaches. Another popular application is - by massage. Herb grappa is a drink that heals both the body and the spirit, a drink to be enjoyed! Ideal with hib (Vis’ cake made of dried figs and herbs).

VISLANDER CAROB GRAPPA, 0.5l, 38% alc 14 €Pan and his nymphs rested from their duties as protectors of nature underneath the green carob trees. Saint John the Baptist lived on carobs on his travels. Carobs are rich in vitamins A and B as well as calcium, and only a finger a day will help your immune and respiratory systems as well as calming the stomach and intestines. The color of the Vislander carob rakija matches the sunset above the bay of Vis. Carob rakija is a drink to be enjoyed, that cures the body and soul!

In grandma Franka's yard there used to be a large walnut tree. She would pick the still green fruits and soak them in grappa (rakija). Their soft insides release plenty of vitamin C and iodine, which makes walnut rakija a popular medicine for illnesses of the thyroid and intestines. Recipes for making it can be found in many monasteries and nobleman's houses, hidden in the notes of old herb makers, but we have stayed true to grandma Franka's recipe. Walnut grappa is a drink to be enjoyed, that cures the body and soul!

With the colour of a sunny kiss, Limoncello da Issa is a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of the island Vis. One of the most popular Italian aperitifs made its way to our island, and with the addition of the peel of an indigenous variety of Vis lemon, rich in aromatic oils and natural bitterness, the drink gained an original local note. In hot summer nights an ice cold Limoncello will fill your palate with the freshness, smell and optimism of lemons.
GIN
- 24 CAROB GOLD GIN, 0.5l, 43% alc 15 €
Did you know the measurement carat comes from the carob tree? In antic Issa they measured the weight of gold and jewels using the carob plant seeds, and in Roman times the solidus golden coin weighed 24 carob seeds. As such, historically 24 carats has been the measure for hundred percent pure gold, just as today 24 carobs give our gin a hundred percent pure golden flavor!

SIR WILLIAM HOSTE LONDON DRY GIN, 0.5l, 43% alc 15 €Did you know that one of the greatest British naval victories during the time of Napoleon’s wars happened on March 13th, 1811 near Vis? Vis at the time of Napoleon’s rule had been under British occupation for ten whole years (from 1805 to 1815), even though the entirety of Dalmatia belonged to France according to the Schönbrunn peace treaty. The victory of the British fleet, commanded by Sir William Hoste, over the more powerful French fleet was the beginning of the end of the French domination on the Adriatic. The classic London dry gin with Sir William Hoste’s name was created for complete enjoyment on one of the last paradise islands.

Did you know there is an indigenous variety of lemon from Vis? It is assumed that this old island variety was brought by the Greeks in 397 BC, when they founded the Issa polis in the area of today’s Prilovo peninsula in the Vis bay. The particularity of this Issean lemon is not only its acidity, but also its pronounced bitterness and very thick skin, which along with the bitter orange flower scent creates a citrusy gin that will refresh you in summer nights.
